well this guide of mine will most likely help ALOT of you. there are primary funds that you will need of course, but if you can farm like crazy before this weekend start, you shouldnt have much of a problem. so here's how you can do it.
Firstly, dont make a character in Nightfall. sure, you dont have hero's to start with, but its all for the greater good. ideally you will want to start in factions as 1-20 happens alot quicker than with the other 2 campaigns. when you are able to choose your secondary profession, choose necro (unless its your primary then choose w.e you feel happy with). get yourself to level 20 ASAP, and if you start in proph, its best to get a run to LA, and if you start in factions, get to kaineng center ASAP aswell. there's a reason for this.
NOTE: in nightfall, do NOT complete the quest "building the base" just yet. in factions, do NOT go past the nahpui quarter mission, as this can LOSE you 50k experience!!! ill tell you why later...also, DO NOT GO TO GWEN!!! it might seem great, having the stats of a level 20 character, but GWEN is fairly tough, and jotun's and wurms can fell a team swiftly, often taking a team by great suprise. GO THERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
when you get to either or the 2 places, travel to nightfall and get your first 5 hero's and set builds weapons armors accordingly. make sure you buy max armor aswell!!! so far you will probably only have spent 7.5-10k. once you have your hero's, either travel back to LA, or travel there which ever way to can. make sure you get the quest in NF to gain olias aswell, as it is amazginly helpful to have a n/rt healer, or mostly, a MM in your team to help with team fire power.
ok next step. you should have 6 hero's by now, so in my personal opinion, its best to take 2 monks and a mm for hero's, and a warrior and ele henchmen. now you will want to get to sanctum cay, and cross to the desert. buy a run through the desert, or ask a guildie (i dont think i'll be able to do much running with a touch pad, but im happy to try). get a runner through elona reach mission, and then complete the other 2 missions. your next destination is Augury Rock for the ascension mission. this is the mission that gives you 50k experience!!! proving you havent already "ascended" in the other campaigns i.e. nahpui quarter mission, or building the base mission. now here is why you need to have Necro as your secondary profession. load all of your skills with life stealing skills.
here's the basics of what you will need.
Awaken The Blood (Blood Magic)
Insidious Parasite
Price of Failure
Mark of Fury
Soul Barbs (optional)
Spiteful Spirit (Elite)(Optional)
this is it for the skill set, and all you need is as much energy as you can, a +15e staff, +15-1x2 weapon set, just anything to give you as much energy as possible. extra skills can be used for energy gain i.e me/n whatever you want. when you enter the battle stage, piles the hexes onto the Doppleganger, but DO NOT attack, whatever you do. just keep hexes on him, and stand there. so long as you can keep insidious parasite up, you should heal more than what you will get dealt in damage. you should be able to kill him within 2 minutes, and then you'll get your 50k xp!!! YAY!!!
this is where the fun/grind starts. travel to the great temple of balthazar, and speak to the skill changer. buy the other 8 professions. so now you will have spent around 15k. hopefully the cost of signet of captures will not be that high, hopefully less than 500g. ok, buy AS MANY signet of captures as you can. sadly chances are you will not be buy too many, as you will be low on skill points, but not too worry. with double xp from elite captures you will gain a skill point at least every 2 skill captures.
your next destination if Nightfall. as you should not be nightfall born, you will be able to get the quest "A Land Of Heroes" which actually contains 5 elite skills!!! thats 50k xp!!! as soon as you capture an elite skill, travel back to champions dawn and restart the quest with a new cap sig and a different profession. a good hint for capturing elites, have gw wiki open at all times for good quick reference of the area you are heading into, or a quest you about to embark on, mainly when you go to the mainland as thats where most elites are held. do this before you leave any outpost on the mainland of cantha and factions, and with the back end of tyria.
now there are certain area's which are best left alone. one is the desolation in nightfall, even a junundu isnt safe to ride in. venturing around the southern shiverpeaks (towards the more "elite" area's of the shiverpeaks, especially if your going to be fighting against mursaat and jade bows/armors) but cantha is pretty free to explore, but take note on the quest "mayhem in the marketplace" as the undercity can be amazingly treacherous with this quest active, and i mean hordes of afflicted. one last place i can think of is the mission "dragons lair" where you end up after defeating the Doppleganger. the mission itself is not particulary dangerous, but the bonus is. unless the team is made to defeat her, then it is best left alone, as once an egg is picked up, the only way of passin the mission is to defeat glint, get defeated, or restart before being totalled.
and there it is. it may seem easy, and i managed it in around 90hours with elite capping, and i also managed to to explore around 60% of nightfall, 40-50% of cantha and about 40% of tyria. if you ever start to run low on cap sigs and skill points, do quests, preferably canthan quests as they give quite alot of XP.
hope this helps you all! ^^
