Hi guys,
I can't make the Sunday event which is why I am glad our officers is running with it, thanks guys.
A few of us want to do complete Under World and as it is a long trip I think it is best if we do it on a Friday evening, then we can sleep late the Saterday.
Everyone that want to come please try and be there at 20:30 GMT so that we can setup the team and get ready to leave at 21:00 GMT. I have no idea how long it takes, but it is longer than FOW which is 2.5 hours. Make sure you can play that long as non of us like leavers during an event.
I will study the do's and don'ts of UW, but if we have people in the team that have completed it, your guidance will be appreciated.
It will be done in Normal Mode, so everyone that have Temple of Ages can join in.
Hope to see a lot of people there, please reply if you have any suggestions and also to confirm that you will be there.

May I also add that if you want to join the event but not sure if you have the right profession, build or location, please ask your fellow experienced guildies to assist you and help you get to Temple of Ages. You have 6 days to get ready.

What a great idea! I'm not sure if I'll be able to be there, but if I can I'll join in. I've only successfully finished UW just once before and that was in HM, but from what I remember it will take at least 3 hours and maybe 4+, depending on whether there are any experienced underworlders in the party that know the most efficient routes / quest order (which I don't). It will be really nice to do something like this where we can involve some of the slightly less experienced guildees too.
cheers
Syd

Love to do it but I'm not likely to be on until later that day. I'll probably logon later that eve and see how you've shaped up. (Would really like to get a black widow for the HoM as well...)

Would be great man. Sure you will think of something. I told my girl that because she is working on Saterday, she need to get in bed early, we can watch Prison Break, but at 10:30 I want to go play Guild Wars. Then she can sleep.
She is ok with that. 10:30 for me is 8:30 GMT.

Game plan: We will get together in the Guild Hall at 8:30 PM GMT and setup the groups there. After that we will leave to Temple of Ages so please make sure you have the outpost before the event start. A few of our members can run it, so just ask ahead of time as it takes 20 min to run from Lion's Arch. If you don't have Prophecies please let us know as well, then we can see if we can get a team to leave from Zin Ku Corridor in Factions or Chantry of Secrets in Nightfall. Bare in mind that others might not have Factions or Nightfall. Each team will need at least the following: - Protector, either Imbagon with permanent Save Yourself or Protector Monk with good energy management
- 2 healers, either Human Healer Boon monks or NRT Healer, hero can be used too.
- Interuptor, Mesmer or Ranger
The rest of the team should be damage dealing. If the team has a Imbagon, please try and stay as close to the imbagon as possible. Imbagon is a Paragon that cast Save Yourselve every 4-5 seconds, so the entire team, except the Imbagon himself, has +100 armor. If you take damage it means you are out of earshot from the protector. I know a lot of people like melee like Dervish, Warrior and Assasin, but we cannot have too many of them per team, 2 is already too many, but 3 is out of the question. We will have to make various teams if we have too many melee players. It will be helpful if everyone read the tips and info on this page guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Underworld. The most important is NOT to take a quest until you have confirmed it is safe to do so. Also leave the rewards for when you get Death Penalty as we can use the XP rewards to remove the DP completely. As a last note, remember that a lot of the quests involve keeping NPCs alive, which is why it is important we have human healers that can heal them. But the chances of failure is high. Lets have fun and if we fail and we have time we can try again, otherwise we write it off as experience and try again during another event. UW is one of the hardest areas in the game, success is not guarenteed, but that is what makes it fun. It will help if everyone reply to the post with the profession they would like to bring. Thank you.

After reading the guide of the quest The Four Horsemen we will also need an Obsidian Flesh tank with Obsidian Flesh, Glyph of Swiftness and Stoneflesh Aura, using a 20% enchantment. Alternatively a Warrior Tank with a monk using Light of Deliverance or Heal Party should work too, I think the HB monk builds use Heal Party.
The horseman will come from 2 sides, the tank must hold the 1 group long enough for the party to kill the other group first. Without this we will fail this quest.
We also need Winter for quest Servants of Grenth to convert Fire damage to cold damage as the Ice Elementals have higher resistance to cold damage.
Would really be great to know who will be coming and what professions they can bring. I spend hours studying the guides not even sure if anyone read this post.
For those that think Underworld is an easy, lets just wing it type area, you are sorely mistaken. Even with the perfect team, right builds, right skills, we still have a good chance of failure.

I was gonna mention that....
without planning, four horseman can cause a pregnant dog of a fail.
The 'Tank n Spank' method can be a good method for the majority of UW i think.
Theres also a quest where having a Terra Tank solo it is easier than doing it as a group, i forget which one tho
