I'm not really offended by bad language, but i dont think it is right to use it in a game like this for a couple of reasons, some people find it offensive, there are also minors who play and dont need to see it, i can swear as good as anyone but know when it is not acceptable.
Secondly I personally cant stand close mindedness about peoples views on sexual, religous, or ethnic believes and dont think it should be brought up into the community, whatever peoples views it shouldnt be brought into the community as it starts a confliction and a barrage of words thrown about. Can we all respect each other and not discuss these type of topics?
Something else that was seen in guild chat was insults to other members, if you feel offended or think someone said something you feel was aimed at you then dont react, talk to an officer in pm.
Banter i enjoy as anyone else and can give as good as i get, just bear in mind how far to go and not push boundaries.
Anyway thats my view on these items and I hope Vanished can take these issues up with his officers.

Hi Xen,
Thank you for sharing your views about this on the forum. I will discuss it with the officers and get back to you as soon as possible.
I 100% support your views about the insults to other members, it will not be tolerated. As officers we always give a person a warning if we know about it and will take further steps if that kind of behavious continues.
Xen, please PM me on the forum with more details about exactly what did happen as I was not online yesterday. If it was the words spoken during UW, then just know that Ivory did leave the guild, I do not know why, but I don't mind either. His out burst during the event when he didn't know where South is and saying he is with annoying people was uncalled for.
May I ask everyone to PM me if you have any complaints, don't use this thread to start a debate about these things, it will be discussed amongst the officers in private.
Thank you.

I think its safe to say us officers will not tolerate behaviour like this and as Tak said, it will do our best try to prevent it from happing again.
All we ask is that if someone is being insulting please do not wade in and escalate the problem (this is a generalism, not directed at any one person btw).

this is an often discussed matter, so i want to state my mind as well. i cannot understand an attitude like this: "... if you feel offended or think someone said something you feel was aimed at you then dont react, talk to an officer in pm...." this is what i consider wrong, totally wrong. but then again, i am very different to many people and you, which is not a bad thing. see, we are alot of different characters. ppl get offended were there is no reason, then others like me, can take alot until they get really mad. you prolly never ever see me mad, because i tolerate people and their attitudes. i would never say you are a bad person, because of your attitude. i will though tell you when i think different. for many ppl this is too much, they cant take it and feel offended. these ppl have issues, not me. im just saying, i know that this topic is not about me of course, but u know, when ppl come together, different minds come together. ppl are different. there is no reason to insult someone, thats immature and i totally agree, that has to be avoided. but not by dobbing in on someone at an officer. even though this is a text based communication (and i really think that text based communications can lead very quickly to misunderstandings, because you do not see your partner) you should be able to say what you have in mind, this is your right from birth, and someone should be able to take negative response, or criticism. again, im not talking about insultings because there should never be a reason to insult someone. if someone insults someone, let them sort it out. if they cannot, make it an issue for the whole team. which is what we are in the end. to talk to an officer about someone is in my eyes cowardice and should not be tolerated either, so please do not make this a rule. hey, as long as everyone keeps a clear mind and uses common sense and over all, tolerates his/her neighbour, we can sort everything out, isnt it. i do not want to sort of live in fear around u guys u know what im saying, so dont take everything personal and serious. i curse alot i know that, blame me. activate your curse filter in options xD. if you think someone acts bad, tell him and see what happens. you would be amazed how much you can reach if you talk to someone first, then talk to someone else about him. anyways, my 2 cents . i catch ya erm online?!
