Elite area event?

Hi everyone,

I'm going to organize an elite area event. Elite areas are like FoW, UW, DoA, Urgoz, ect.

I need the following:



2 Volunteers to help me arrange the event

Reply with interested areas and what professions you want to play with

What evening would be good to do this?

I'm interested, not sure what evening, although I'm in Spain this weekend from Friday til Monday so thats no good. Thursday anyone?

My Ranger can get to all except Urgoz so I'll probably be using him unless we do that...in which case I'll bring a Rit or Necro.

any evening is cool with me, and my ranger is the girl i want with any kind of credit to her name lol, oh and is everywhere!

Coincidently, I was discussing with Steelman yesterday about starting a regular event. We thought a nice time to do it would be Sunday evenings (8-9pm BST) since we used to get lots of people online at that time. The problem is that we can't use it for those really long areas like Deep and Urgoz without finishing too late...I think that 3 hours is the longest we can run for at most.

I was thinking that we could host two events, one on Sunday evenings and another on Saturday or sometime during the week. For those areas that take longer to clear, maybe Saturday evenings or Sundays at an earlier time would do.

Anyway, if you pick Sunday evenings, both me and Steelman can give you a hand. If you guys want to have one event during the week, Steelman and me can still run the second event on Sundays at 9pm that would function in parallel with the Elite area event. I can try to help out during the week but I can't promise to be there, since I often get stuck at work til late hours.

I am up for any area day and time, just say the word and I will try and be there(If load shedding doesnt keep me away lol).

My ranger is always up for any challenge.

I'm up for any events and any evenings will do if it's not too long. I tink the 3 hour limit is more than enough and we all know that doing elite areas or very hard dungeons for 3 hours straight can be exhausting (I'm sure dargan still remembers the last dungeon we did together with deep regret ).

Obviously I would be going on my ranger, since that's the char i play 99% of the time. But everyone seems to want to bring their rangers, lol.

Any area would do except factions, since I only recently bought it and am not too far on it (and hating every bit of it )

i can use my tank,and some palces my dervish i got this week free from work, so if im on, i can join. but for the weekend its gonna be hard, cos then i work again. i aint promising nothing, but if im on, count me inn.

interested - got 4 scrolls for the elite mission of urgoz in bank already , ready to be used.

Im interested in the most of the events, I got a ele, para and a sin wich i can use

d**n! I think someone has mentioned that thing in the revive thread.... I only notice the newest thread that has posts in it, even though there may be like a dozen others with posts written just a few seconds earlier. I think the title of the thread with the newest post in it should be removed from the main page (the one under the name of the forum user) so we would have to access the entire section and therefore notice all newest threads. MAD has the stars only, so U have to access the whole section to see what threads have new posts. It's a good solution IMO.

as for elite area- just pick up one- I can go to any of them with a guild team:D if U need an obistank, A/W tank, etc. or could use the double claws of my special R10 ursan:D. As for the team builds- as long we are doing it NM, no real need for a special one.



DoA is a good option, with Gloom and Vile areas beeing very difficult. We need monks with Healing Seed and Seed of Life in addition to Healer's Boon. (each of the four areas from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours)

FoW is piss easy if we only clear the path before aggroing the griffons and watch for rastigan in early journey. (1.5-2.5 hours)

UW is also easy till the 4-horsemen which simply need to be aggroed as soon as they pop up ro prevent them from splitting up.(2-3hours)

Urgoz is very easy as long as anyone (like me on my obsitank) can bring ward agains melee.(2-3hours)

The Deep is hardly possible as is done in a special way called 4-4-4-way which takes some practice. we could obviously try to do it with rez sigs, but nevertheless it needs some explanation. Or try it the 3-3-3-3-way which would take approx 30 minutes longer:D(1-3hours)

Dungeons- I haven't done any of them myself (I really hate that campaign), but I'm sure Tay or Fury could say a word which are worth doing together.)

we could also do complete Sorrow's Furnace run (it has its own cool statue in HoM) as a relaxing trip for a warm up and encouragement.(1-2hours)

As for the forum issue, this is a known proboards limitation and it also pisses me off. For instance, the "stars" system of alerting for new posts in a forum you see in the MaD forums is also used here with a yellow box marker. I tend to look out for those boards marked by the yellow square to check out new posts and threads.

The problem is that if you enter the forum and access the list of threads, Proboards will assume you've seen all topics and remove the notice (yellow light) from the boards even if you haven't actually read any or all of the updated threads!. It's a pain in the arse but I can't find a way around it...we just have to live with it for now.

I'll get rid of the "latest post" boxes and see how that works in the next few days.

Back to topic though: Have we reached a conclusion? When is this going to happen? Where will we play? Shall we schedule it for next week?

Bugger...I think I'm all booked up this week so I wouldnt be able to join if an event was planned for before next Monday but I'm still 100% interested in this becoming a regular thing.

Maybe a good idea would be to plan these events as far in advance as possible (I know, a bit obvious) and try to keep it CCCP only, but if by like a day or 2 before not enough ppl have regestered an interest, open it up to the alliance.

This means the events have a chance of rolling on even if not many people from CCCP can make it from time to time.
